Christian leadership institute (CLI)

GROW in faith, ENGAGE with community & be EMPOWERED to lead

CLI is back!  The Christian Leadership Institute (CLI), a program designed to empower young adults to become leaders in their community, church, and society, is returning in 2022.
The Institute is a meaningful week-long overnight leadership experience that will unlock the potential of high school students to give back and influence others.  It is designed to meet the needs of those who are leaders in high school or parish youth ministry by empowering them to be leaders in their Christian community and society.
This year's program will be held June 26-July 1 on the grounds of Camp Turner in beautiful Allegany State Park.

Under the guidance of program directors and CLI veterans Katie Kittleson and Patty Spear, a qualified, energetic and experienced team of adult group leaders will focus learning on:

  • Group dynamics
  • Planning and decision-making
  • Prayer and liturgy planning
  • The responsibilities that come with being a leader incorporating Gospel virtues
  • Catholic social teachings including Pope Francis's encyclical, Laudato Si - On Care for Our Common Home

These critical skills are built through daily activities rooted in self-reflection, forming community and praying together.
